Welcome Avatar! Staying on top of the rapidly changing crypto industry is hard.
You realize the immense opportunity crypto provides, but just don’t have time on top of your work/business and social/family life to watch everything that goes on and digest the information.
If you fall off for a week, it takes two weeks to catch up (don’t worry, we’ve been there too).
If you spend all day on it, the rest of your life falls apart.
To top it off, a lot of information sources have their own agenda, so you have to be on guard at all times when absorbing new information.
That’s why we created DeFi Education, an independent crypto research publication run by a team of pseudonymous contributors with backgrounds in tech, finance, and of course crypto.
If you’ve seen us around on Twitter or heard about us from friends, family and colleagues but are not quite sure who we are, this post is for you.👇
If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.
The same applies to investment and industry research.
If you do not understand what you’re buying and/or interacting with in crypto, you’ll have no choice but to accept the consensus view.
When you haven’t taken the time to figure things out for yourself or learn from people who “get it”, you can focus on the profitable view. Over time you develop an instinct for how things will play out, who the industry participants are promoting a project and whether or not a project really has legs, is a short-term trade, or is going straight to zero.

The DeFi Education Mission
Crypto is intimidating at first. There are all these complicated terms, a new industry shaping event every week and you’re up against people who have been in this game since the beginning.
But with a bit of patience and targeted learning you can avoid losing money and eventually find the next ten bagger, fifty bagger or 100x on your own.
We started DeFi Education because other research platforms and publications suffered from conflicts of interest.
They:
Are directly paid by the teams behind the tokens they cover
Are seed investors in the protocols they talk about
Formulate their thesis around preconceived narratives
Often times, they are all of the above.
Our mission is to provide high quality, objective research that helps people navigate the wild west of crypto, DeFi, and web3.
We do not get paid to publish articles on tokens we dig into - all our coverage is either selected by us or by our readers.
Since we started DeFi Education over a year ago, we’ve published over 150 independently researched articles, averaging 2.5 posts a week.
These articles represent thousands of hours of our research and writing. When you sign up to DeFi Education, you have access to all of our prior work.
Everyday our team pours over whitepapers, code, security, public discourse, market data and we tap our own backgrounds and networks to bring you the absolute best research for only $100 a year (about the cost of a one year supply of chicken nuggets according to our community).
DeFi is a fascinating, evolving space and as one of largest crypto publications on Substack we are grateful to play a part in accelerating its adoption.
For those that have been around since the beginning, you’ve seen the development of our research process, depth of knowledge, and ongoing educational materials in an industry that changes month to month.
We considered writing a book on DeFi but we couldn’t - things change too fast around these parts. Staying on top of crypto is a daily endeavor even in a so-called “slow” market.
One thing hasn’t changed: decentralization is inevitable. With every boom and bust, crypto grows more resilient, picks up more users and the crypto snowball continues barreling down the mountain.
That’s why we doubled down by going full time crypto.
Writing for DeFi Ed over the last year and talking to our community frequently has made us experts in understanding how to get people up the learning curve, what to research and pay attention to, and how to help people achieve a deep understanding of crypto.
It has been very rewarding to get all of your DMs on how you used our frameworks to get in and out of positions at the right time and avoid losing money.
We know for sure that we have the highest quality community across research platforms in crypto. Not only are DeFi Education readers wicked smart, they tend to be helpful and frequently share information / alpha with us and each other.
Our readers include total beginners, hardcore researchers, some of the world’s largest hedge funds, crypto developers, startup founders and everyone in between.
We’ve avoided the all too common pitfalls of scaling a business in the crypto space - paid promotions, pump and dumps, and otherwise ripping people off for a quick buck.
We’ve also kept our research access cheap and accessible to all - $10 a month or $100 a year.
Join our community today!
We’ll see you on the other side, anon..
