Berachain has potential this cycle. The creators are OlympusDao guys and there is a small cult following of the Bong Bear NFTs and their rebases. There has been building on Berachain and some projects will likely pop up with some potential.
I like DOGE since there is a huge cult leader out there who recently said he still has a bag of them.
By the way, would appreciate some well researched articles on SEI and its affiliated coins. What about BONK?
Meme coins are great lottery tickets and will be a huge winner during the late stage of this bull market if position sized correctly.
By the way, BTC has huge inflows from those ETFs over the past week and the price drops to ~$41k now. This price action mirrors GLD when it was listed back in 2004, where spot gold prices were literally doing little until sometime after that. If history is anything useful, I expect BTC to slowly drift down and all of a sudden, gives everyone that rips your face off massive rally.
This article is wildly late to market. This should have been written years ago. At the end of the day, the community is the asset and people only care about price go up. Communities that have been through a cycle or two, down 95%+ and are still around and creating content will do extremely well this cycle. Especially since the SEC has allowed Blackrock and JPM to Trojan Horse into Bitcoin. Bitcoin will have diminished gains going forward, look no further than the gold etf to see how they can manipulate gold via the futures market. There will be some new narratives and tech for sure, but that is catching a lottery ticket in a tornado; and good luck to you if the project you buy into is VC backed -- they will dump on you as you become their exit liquidity. Anything being heavily shilled by the influencers is trash as well -- good luck everyone!
Probably needs to become a cult to grow to the size where institutions are interested. That may change in the future as/if crypto grows into a large part of daily life.

Pudgy Penguins and Creepz have the cult following you describe
Oh ya Pudgy is a good one forgot to mention

Idk why your comment is so negative lol. I can’t help but see you haven’t liked any articles in years.
Anyway thanks for the post DeFi team. Appreciate the content!
This article is timeless, and it's free
Well Dan, why didn't you write it years ago then?
Does a project need to become a cult for institutional investment?
Not necessarily, but cult projects tend to get a lot of attention which puts it on everyone’s radar
