Curious at what point (NW / salary) would you say it’s worth it to spend time doing airdrops, pools, etc? I haven’t dabbled in it because I feel like my time is better spent building my business and w-2.

I see people posting huge gains from all sorts of stuff but I don’t understand any of it, and don’t want to waste time

The liquidity based airdrops probably need mid six figures *at risk* or greater since its dominated by whales. The time based airdrops are tiny so not worth it for anyone working a career/wifi money.

Hyperliquid was a bit of a special case as you could add skill to optimize your drop, rather than simply staking your capital or being recorded as a user of the product.

Thanks. Would you say there’s anything worth doing (besides buying and holding major coins) for someone grinding out biz / w2?

Like you said the only thing could do is the time based airdrops but no way that’s worth the time and energy

If you don't have a lot of time, probably highest ROI is to copy the few high conviction plays / year we put out here.

Thanks for pointing out WhalesMarket. I didn't know anyone can trade farmed points at all!

I have several questions wanting to ask but seems like nobody here ever asked.

1. How does one trade their Hyperliquid points since it is locked on the HL platform?

2. What is the token contract for the Hyperliquid airdrop tokens? Will it be on ETH L1 or L2?

3. What will be the demand and use cases of $PURR and will it be critical to scale HL in the future?

3) $PURR is probably going live before the governance token, so it might be used as a proxy to bet on the success of the exchange/L1. Other than that, it might be used as collateral to margin trades (unconfirmed). This is all related to their new spot market product line.

2) Don't know, it's not live yet.

1) will come back to this, had another question about how Whales Market works too

Thanks for the quick replies!

I saw $PURR briefly on the testnet and a day or two later, it was scrubbed off the testnet. My recent paper profitable trades were completely gone too. :(

Agree, I think HL airdrops will be very valuable too. The track record of the community owned vault has an impressive result so far and I have since added more disposable capital. I hope it can last as long as possible. I’ve not yet seen this kind of consistent return before so I am pretty amazed.

Looking forward to your next updates on HL soon. :)

How sustainable will this be after the governance token is dropped though?

Imagine that some volume and thus vault profits come inorganically from farming.

Very sustainable IMO - market making (done correctly) is extremely profitable, and degens are insensitive to cost of carry.

1. You deposit ETH collateral on Whales Market which you forfeit if you fail to deliver the tokens to the buyer after the token launch.

I was previously staking the the HLP vault and got a few points. Pulled everything out months ago. Deposited a$100 worth of tether to make a trade and I can't do anything with it. Every trade has to be made in USDC but it let me deposit tether. Any idea what I do?

should be able to withdraw the tether to arbitrum, swap for USDC and go back in to make the trade
