Best investment was Dopex Public Sale. Worst investment was Chainlink, down bad in ETH terms. Most valuable lesson learned was that even if it is fundamentally a great product, if the tokenomics are shit you're probably going to lose money.
Also, not claiming I bought the bottom on ETH. It went down, I bought some. Then it went down again and I bought some more. I give myself credit for conviction, not timing.
I am starting to become absurdly bullish on DPX, the potential upside is retarded, and there are only 500k tokens. Is this just me or is anyone else in the same boat? Have a small bag looking at more
Their entire thesis is baked into Crv/CVX. While i am overly, heavily exposed to CRV/CVX, the downside is if protocols just buy their own CRV/CVX instead of bribes. Im sure someone has run the numbers on the cost of bribing vs just buying the tokens and staking. So not sure how long the bribes can go on. HOWEVER, how much CRV/CVX is out there? The protocols wont sell theirs since they need it...
Ohm is current pain point though as far as I can tell the fundamentals remain strong. Im planning on moving off eth and putting my gohm into an avax pool on trader joes. Switching out of link to ohm still has a positive ROI how ever my last and largest tranche of ohm I bought at 915~ has me at or close to break even on ohm even. I feel pretty safe calling a floor on ohm of 300-325. i expect price action to be significant and positive as the OIP-18 rate reduction occurs concurrent with all the other project ohm has going on to generate cross chain demand for ohm.
Other than that i am very happy with my REN, CRV, GRT, JOE/xJOE positions. I plan to rebuild my Link position through DCA as well as i do expect it to go parabolic at some point.
Best: Buying MATIC a few weeks before the May dump
Worst: Buying ice at the top. Ignored OHM, SPELL and MAGIC calls from some Jungle people. Not aping into [redacted] (will not be making the mistake of synthetically fading Tetranode). A few others non-defi related.
1. Best DeFi investment for 2021: Convex (faded it when BTB first posted. It resurfaced in the wild and I jumped in for a 4x unrealized. Not selling until all the daos stop announcing their market buys)
3. Any lessons you’d like to share: Narratives and coverage by influencers is so damn important in the space. Not many understood the Convex / Curve flywheel early on. Once Dune Analytics dashboards / CT started talking about Convex, it really went on a run.

Same. Best Investment is DOPEX by far. Worst is probably SUSHI but I may hold b/c P/E seems out of whack.
Best trade was spell-- 13x
Worst was missing out on cvx when it was cheap. Sad!
Best: Bought ETH when it dipped to $2k
Worst: YFI, although tokenomics reboot is in progress. I'm still HODLing

same boat
I copy traded Tetra in July: OHM, SPELL, CVX/CRV.
Missed the boat on: DPX, Redacted
Lost on: GRT, CRA
Even: Link
Is it too late to get in on redacted? That APY is still spicy, as long as it doesn't tank 80% it's a fine purchase IMO

Best investment was SPELL @ $0.00666 (simulation confirmed).
Worst investment was Chainlink followed by Unit Protocol (DUCK).

My major mistakes were mistakes of not-aping
did well with OHM, CVX, MATIC, AMP.
hovering around flat to slightly down on LINK
AAVE, ALCX both way down.
overall up and was able to collect some rewards on top of this so a solid year.
Ya'll didn't sell your sushi did you? NGMI
OHM potential upside was much bigger than 3x because of high APR.
I bought OHM in July, sold back principal after 2.5x and still did ~6x from there.
Best was DPX & rDPX around 25usd. Sold at 100-110, about 6 digits. Rebought everything in the recent dip:)
Worst was buying Chainlink & Aave at the beginning of may.

Yes, I didn't understand the cvx/crv or how it would run. Missed it, but still up ~40%. Could have been much larger. Ship sailed.
Best : REN, I doubled my position and sold half. Thanks !
Worst : RBC (Rubic), no comment. I bought this shitcoin after lurking on shady forums and hopefully it recovers in 2022.
What do you mean when you say "max pain scenario"? How do you define max pain across different projects?
cvx and sol
