thanks owl! didn't even think about the potential of this sector with huge growth potential. i remember back in 2020 there were a few protocols that didn't seem to take off but maybe now the timing is right. i do like permissionless protocols so it'll be interesting to see how that issue can be bridged
How is this fundamentally different from crowdfunding real estate developments or other endeavors? I get that banks aren’t involved-but the lending process isn’t anonymous, and there is little to no recourse for lenders. I guess it is more efficient to ‘digitize’ and have the code act as a paper pusher in the process-but I’m trying to see the potential revolutionary/transformational value add to this large market. I see the usefulness of nft(s) for creators to be ‘set free’ to directly monetize-and love the anonymity of holding wealth via bitcoin-but as far as defi is concerned-I need more light.
I think real world asset is going to drive the next wave of user adoption. The tangibility and interactions with the real world is going to add legitimacy to crypto. This also allow regulators to interact with the space productively and have real conversation on the impact of crypto to the economy. Looking forward to the next post!
